Partially Sponsored Buyers Conditions

The following conditions shall be followed:
  • You need to be a tour operator, interested in growing your business activities with Malawi as a destination alone or combined with other destinations within the Southern African region.
  • During MITE days you must hold at least 30 meetings with local tour operators and exhibitors
  • Present to us your appointment list, signed and confirmed by each one and also a post fair report
  • Please fill in the Application form by logging in to www.tourism.mw
  • Application forms are to be filled and submitted to the Department no later that 8th March, 2020

This hosted Buyers Program will cover the following costs:

  • Ground Transfers
  • Cost of pre/post tours
  • Full board Accommodation
  • Entry to official events and functions

However, the Department of Tourism shall expect your organization to make the following arrangements for its representative(s).

  • Air ticket (return)
  • Visa –where applicable
  • Travel Insurance
  • Laundry
  • Drinks
  • Bar

NB: All hosted buyers to schedule and attend a minimum of 10 appointments per day, these being: • Individual appointments with exhibitors of their choice, should include local operators • Pre-scheduled group appointments (where applicable) • Pre-scheduled workshops
